Happy April everybody! I wanted to share some thoughts today.
Sittin' On (The Dock of the Bay) is one of my favorite songs. It's equally hopeful and lost in it's own confusion. The person in the song took a huge leap of faith, but is stuck at a bit of a crossroads (or dead end). Too many people with too many ideas leave the character utterly adrift .
What does any of this have to do with real estate? Am I using this platform just to give you my thoughts on a song from 1968?
In a sense - yes. It's a really good song! However, the real reason I'm sharing this with you is that there is one line in that song that really resonates with me. It especially hits home when trying to make a decision about selling your home.
"I can't do what ten people tell me to do, so I guess I'll remain the same."
Doesn't it feel like that sometimes? How can you make the right decision when getting ten different strategies? Are you working with the right agent? Is their marketing strategy effective? Is their pricing suitable for your needs and within reason? What about For Sale By Owner? I Shouldn't it just be about how much I can get for my home?
My job as a Realtor® is to make the client comfortable in knowing they made the right decisions. I'm here to lead you off the dock (or the sidelines) and get you where you need to go. So if you feel like Otis, call me. Certainly I want your business, but more importantly, I want you to feel like you made the right choice and that you're in good hands.
Have a great day, and let me know how I can help. There's no better feeling than going home.
Until next time,
Dave L
