Sunday June 20th is one for the calendar. Really, every day is one for the calendar, but this one kind of jumps off the page. June 20th is Father's Day. June 20th would have been my late Father-in-law's sixty-second birthday (he unfortunately passed away in January). And June 20th marks the official first day of Summer 2021. Lots of stuff happening around that time (and it's here this weekend).
(We all know that Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial first days of Summer, but I like to keep the facts straight.)
Take all of that, plus the fact that with an increase of vaccinations, and the loosening of some CDC COVID-19 guidelines, you may be thinking about having people over that weekend, and probably many weekends after.
For homeowners, that means you need to get your house ready for guests. The pandemic may have kept people out of your house for the last year, and maybe you got a little behind on upkeep. Get a little lazy? Dealing with health and safety protocols? Just didn't feel like it? Are you the type of person that was wearing dress shirts in front of your Zoom cameras, and basketball shorts or sweatpants off-screen?
If you haven't already done so, now would be a great time to start getting your home and yard in order. Some weeding and new flowers can go a long way. Opening windows and getting some fresh air into your living spaces can do wonders for you. Small things can lead to big change on your way to finding your comfortable.
If you are looking for a new place to start, or thinking about taking advantage of a strong seller's market, give me a call.
Until next time...
