Does your town do a local restaurant celebration thing every year? I think it usually happens in the fall, but almost annually, Randolph, Massachusetts has an event called, "The Taste of Randolph," where local places can showcase what they have to offer. That's one of the things I love about Randolph. A variety of flavors all in one place.
When I got into real estate, my mentor asked me why would someone work with me to help them buy or sell a home? I came up with a list of reasons that sounded ultra professional and probably somewhat naive (I had just gotten into the business). However, after putting some real thought into it, I decided that people should ultimately want to work with me for these reasons:
1: I am a hardworking, personable, relatable, individual that will dedicate all of the time and energy it takes to you to get you the best results for your search.
2: I pride myself in having a great understanding of the communities where I work to direct my clients to the best of those communities.
Maybe not the most original traits, but I am telling you these facts because they are true and also because when I had this conversation with that mentor, I specifically mentioned restaurants as part of my knowledge base. He explained that most buyers want to know about the school systems, community events, and potential resale value. He told me that people don't always care about the best places to eat. I told him that as an adult with no children, and a large appetite, I know for a fact that people want to know where to eat! (Not that school systems and resale aren't important, I just believe that they can't be the only things to look for).
Let's get back to Randolph; the town I grew up in, and the place I've decided to call home as an adult. A community rich with diversity, culture, parks, farms, and a crucial public transportation system that brings many of my fellow residents to their work in the city. And maybe the best part about the town...The FOOD!
From pub style food to sub shops; pizza to Chinese takeout; Pho, Jamaican cuisine, Old school Italian, Haitian, Thai, and more, our little town brings flavor in abundance!
Randolph brings it all to the table. Lynwood and Hoey's Pizza for that perfect South Shore Bar pizza. Zack's for the more traditional slice. The Lodge, Rocco's and 1048 for steak tips, wings and all of that comfort food. Not Your Average Joe's has been a favorite of mine for years (and I was a busboy there when it first opened!). Malai Thai and La Scala rank among some of the best dishes I've ever had.
Randolph is a unique town with so much to offer. Home values are rising, the convenience is unbeatable, and we are striving to improve everyday.
It's also delicious.
I love living here and welcome all who call it home, or will call it home one day.
Welcome home.
